Guest Suite

The guest suite/mother-in-law suite is located on the first floor.  It can be reached from the Daytona Ave. side or the 14th Steet side via a winding brick walkway passing through a lush, green, park-like area.

The guest suite is a separate unit, not connected to the main part of the house by an internal staircase, giving complete privacy.

The walkway continues right to the front entrance door, which is wheelchair accessible.

Entering through the front door, you step into the spacious living area of the great room.

The living area and the kitchen area both have sliding glass doors providing light and a view into the marsh.  This shot also illustrates the cathedral ceiling in the great room.

The other half of the great room is the kitchen and dining area.

The kitchen has a full set of quality cabinets, refrigerator, sink, microwave, and toaster oven.  The only thing missing to be a full kitchen is the lack of a range.

The short hall toward the bedroom leads to three doors, the bath to the left, the garage to the right, and the bedroom straight ahead.

The bathroom is a full bath, with a tub, fully tiled walls and ceiling.  A large linen closet is at the end of the room.

At the end of the hall is the guest suite bedroom.  Double windows allow light and cooling breezes to flow through the room.  This room currently houses a queen-sized bed.

A large closet with 8 foot tall, double bi-fold doors has substantial storage.

The bedroom has a second closet along the front wall.

The hall can be seen in this image, with the door to the garage on the left, the hall closet, and a built-in bookcase.

There are 5 closets, coat closet at the entry door, hall closet, linen closet, and 2 closets in the bedroom.
